About This Role
BankPath India is seeking a sharp and analytical Credit Analyst to evaluate loan applications, assess credit risk, and support lending decisions for our Bangalore operations. In this role, you will play a critical part in maintaining a healthy loan portfolio by ensuring that credit assessments are rigorous, data-driven, and compliant with regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
Analyse financial statements, bank statements, income tax returns, and credit bureau reports to assess the creditworthiness of individual and business loan applicants
Prepare detailed credit appraisal reports with recommendations for loan approval, modification, or rejection
Evaluate collateral documents, property valuations, and mortgage terms for secured lending applications
Identify credit risks, fraud indicators, and anomalies in application data and escalate findings to the credit manager
Ensure all credit assessments comply with RBI norms, internal credit policies, and regulatory guidelines
Monitor the performance of the existing loan portfolio and flag early warning signs of delinquency
Coordinate with sales, operations, and legal teams to ensure smooth loan processing and disbursement
Maintain accurate records of all credit decisions, justifications, and supporting documents
Required Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Commerce
13 years of experience in credit analysis, underwriting, or financial risk assessment
Strong financial modelling, ratio analysis, and credit scoring skills
Knowledge of RBI credit guidelines, CIBIL, and bank lending frameworks
Proficiency in MS Excel, financial analysis tools, and loan management systems
CA (Inter) or CFA Level 1 qualification is an advantage
