Role & responsibilities
- To analyze financial statements (Balance Sheet, P&L;, Cash Flow) for assessing borrower creditworthiness
- To evaluate loan proposals for secured/unsecured lending (LAP, MSME, Vehicle Finance, etc.)
- To conduct credit appraisal including income assessment, banking analysis, and repayment capacity evaluation
- To verify customer profiles through bureau checks, field investigation inputs, and third-party validations
- To prepare detailed credit notes with risk assessment and recommendations
- To ensure adherence to internal credit policies, SOPs, and regulatory guidelines
- To coordinate with sales/business teams for clarifications and case structuring
- To liaise with legal, technical, and operations teams for complete due diligence
- To identify risk flags and suggest mitigants for credit approval
- To maintain quality of portfolio by minimizing delinquency and NPAs
- To ensure defined turnaround time (TAT) for credit decisioning
- To maintain proper documentation and audit-ready records
Preferred candidate profile
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills
- Ability to interpret financial data and identify risk indicators
- Positive communication and coordination skills with cross-functional teams
- Proficiency in MS Excel and credit evaluation tools .
