The Credit Manager is responsible for overseeing the credit and collection activities of the company This includes evaluating creditworthiness establishing credit limits managing accounts receivable and minimizing bad debt The Credit Manager ensures that credit policies and procedures are followed and that the company s financial risk is managed effectively Evaluate the creditworthiness of potential customers by analyzing financial statements credit reports and other relevant information Establish and manage credit limits for customers Monitor accounts receivable and ensure timely collection of payments Develop and implement credit policies and procedures Minimize bad debt and manage collection efforts Negotiate payment plans with customers Prepare credit reports and analyze credit risk Supervise and train credit and collection staff Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations Collaborate with sales and other departments to resolve credit-related issues
