Key Responsibilities
**
- **Upstream Change Impact Analysis (The "Shield")**
- Monitor and review upcoming changes in upstream source systems.
- Analyze the impact of changes using data mapping files and SQL.
- Conduct content analysis to verify data nature changes.
- **Incident Triage & Root Cause Analysis (The "Detective")**
- Investigate perceived data issues raised by the Regulatory Reporting team.
- Execute complex SQL queries to trace data lineage.
- Determine the nature of the issue and prevent false alarms.
- **Testing Strategy & Requirements Management**
- Translate findings into actionable JIRA tickets.
- Define test cases for User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- **Communication & Stakeholder Management**
- Act as a translator between Reporting and Technology Teams.
- Present impact assessments to stakeholders for change sign-off.
**Qualifications (The "Must-Haves"):**
1. **Technical Skills**
- Proficiency in Advanced SQL for query writing and data profiling.
- Data Analysis skills for comparing large datasets.
2. **Domain Knowledge (Banking or Trading)**
- Familiarity with Banking Book and Trading Book products.
- Understanding of financial reporting attributes.
3. **Process & Tools**
- Experience with JIRA for defect tracking.
- Ability to interpret Data Mapping Documents.
4. **Education**
- Bachelors degree or higher, preferably in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Finance, Economics, or Mathematics.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
- Experience with specific regulations and Python scripting skills.
- Previous experience in Data Quality, Data Governance, or System Integration roles.
