Data Engineer - Big Data, Spark

You will be part of the Analytics and Information Management (AIM) team at Citi, which was established in 2003 with locations in Bengaluru, Chennai, Pune, and Mumbai. AIM objectively connects and analyzes information to create actionable intelligence for business leaders, focusing on revenue growth opportunities in partnership with the businesses. As a Data Engineering analyst, your responsibilities will include: - Creating client-centric analytic solutions to business problems with a holistic view of multiple businesses - Owning and delivering multiple complex analytic projects, understanding business context, formulating analytical methodology, identifying trends and patterns, and developing efficient solutions on Citis Big Data Platform - Experience in stakeholder management across various functions and regions - Delivering high-class presentations to share thoughts, solutions, or problem statements with business stakeholders and senior management - Managing projects by creating project plans, assigning responsibilities, and ensuring timely delivery The key qualifications required for this role are: - Masters/Engineering Degree with more than 3 years of experience in Big Data systems, Hive, Hadoop, Spark (Python/Scala), and cloud-based data management technologies - Hands-on experience in Unix Scripting, Python, Scala programming, and strong experience in SQL - Experience in working with large datasets, data warehouses, data preprocessing, and application engineering - Knowledge of machine learning techniques, data governance, data security, and regulatory practices - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong process/project management skills, and stakeholder management experience - Experience in Credit Cards and Retail Banking Preferred qualifications include being a fast learner with a desire to excel, experience in performance tuning, code re-engineering, broad IT architecture, query tuning, and automation technologies. Exposure to container technology and machine learning is a plus.
