Skill: Senior Data Engineer

Role Summary
Seeking experienced data engineers to design, enhance, and deliver enterprise data platforms that process real-time payment card data and support secure data exchange with regulatory agencies and internal banking applications. The role spans event-driven data engineering, cloud-based data stores, file-based integration, data transformation, and production delivery. The successful candidate will work closely with multiple internal technology teams and will remain actively involved in solution design, development, testing, troubleshooting, and implementation.
Required Skills
- Kafka & event-driven architecture
- MongoDB database
- Java & Microservices Architecture
Preferred Skills
- BIAN or canonical banking data models and schema evolution practices.
- Microservices Architecture, REST API Development & Integration.
- Exposure to data quality & governance, metadata, data retention, data privacy, idempotency and recovery patterns.
Domain Skills
- Experience in BFSI, Cards & Payments, regulated data exchange
- Exposure to Card Processing, Visa/Mastercard ecosystems, and PCI-DSS standards
Candidate Profile
- Hands-on problem solver who owns design, development, and implementation.
- Strong stakeholder management across multiple internal technology teams.
- Explicit communicator with strong documentation and root-cause analysis skills.
