01Responsibilities
Design enterprise data models for Workday Human Capital Management (HCM) and People Analytics.Develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models supporting workforce reporting and analytics.Build scalable dimensional models (Star Schema and Snowflake Schema) optimized for analytics.Define data relationships, hierarchies, business rules, and metadata standards.Collaborate with HR stakeholders to understand reporting and workforce planning requirements.Translate business requirements into scalable and reusable data models.Work closely with Data Engineering teams to build trusted data products.Design data models supporting workforce planning, recruitment, learning, compensation, performance management, succession planning, and employee lifecycle analytics.Ensure data consistency across multiple HR systems including Workday and other enterprise applications.Perform source-to-target mapping and define transformation logic.Drive data quality, master data management, and governance initiatives.Establish standards for data modelling, naming conventions, documentation, and lineage.Support implementation of security models, including role-based access and sensitive HR data protection.Partner with BI teams to optimize datasets for Power BI and other reporting platforms.Optimize analytical models for performance and scalability within cloud data warehouses.Participate in solution architecture, design reviews, and governance forums.Mentor junior data modelers and contribute to enterprise data architecture best practices.About YouFunctional Skills & ExperienceStrong understanding of Workday HCM architecture.Experience with Workday data model and business objects.Experience extracting data from Workday using APIs, Workday Reports or Workday Prism Analytics.Understanding of Workday security and data access model.Proven experience in data warehouse modelling and optimizationSolid knowledge of relational and non-relational databases, data architecture, and SQLStrong understanding of Data Warehouse concepts: Kimball and Inmon methodologiesExperience with data modelling tools such as SQL Database Modeler, IBM InfoSphere, or Erwin Data ModelerAbility to mentor and share knowledge with fellow Data Modelers and Data ArchitectsExperience collaborating across cross-functional teams to solve complex data architecture challengesComfortable working in agile/scrum environments and managing multiple prioritiesAble to thrive in a fast-paced, matrix organization with a global footprintStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with sharp attention to detailExcellent communication skills able to convey technical concepts clearly to both peers and senior stakeholdersPragmatic, service-oriented, and a collaborative team playerFluent in English (additional languages are a plus)Technical Skills & QualificationsBachelors degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Modelling, or a related fieldBackground in data modelling, data engineering, data warehousing, business intelligence, or analytics with hands-on experience with relevant tools (e.g., Informatica/IICS)Solid understanding of data structures and algorithmsFamiliarity with data model requirements for Power BI or similar reporting platformsExperience with cloud-based data platforms (Informatica IICS / Snowflake is a plus)Strong SQL skills and knowledge of both relational and non-relational database technologiesExperience working with:Power BI or TableauWorkday Prism AnalyticsWorkday ReportingWorkforce DashboardsExecutive HR DashboardsSelf-Service Analytics .
