Role Description The Data Network Engineer role is a full-time, on-site position based in Hyderabad. The individual in this role will design, implement, and maintain data network infrastructure to ensure secure, high-performance connectivity across systems and locations. Daily responsibilities include configuring routers, switches, and firewalls, monitoring network performance, and performing diagnostics to resolve incidents and minimize downtime. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan network expansions, optimize existing architectures, and document configurations, policies, and procedures. The role also involves proactive capacity planning, applying best practices in network security, and supporting continuous improvements in reliability and scalability.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Data Network and Network Engineering, with the ability to design, implement, and optimize complex network infrastructures.Hands-on experience in Network Administration, including configuration, monitoring, and maintenance of routers, switches, and firewalls.Advanced Troubleshooting skills for diagnosing and resolving network issues, performance bottlenecks, and connectivity problems.Practical experience with Network Design, including planning topology, redundancy, scalability, and security controls.Proficiency with common networking protocols and technologies (TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, DNS, DHCP, routing protocols such as OSPF/BGP).Familiarity with network monitoring and management tools (e.g., Wireshark, Nagios, SolarWinds, or similar platforms).Understanding of network security principles and best practices, including access control, segmentation, and threat mitigation.Relevant degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or a related field; industry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent are an advantage.Ability to work on-site in Hyderabad, collaborate effectively in a team, communicate clearly, and document technical work in a structured manner. .
