Job Title: Database Migration Architect (Oracle & PostgreSQL | Cloud)

Job Summary:
We are seeking a hands-on experienced Cloud Database Migration Architect to lead complex database transformation and migration initiatives from Oracle to PostgreSQL, MS SQL to PostgreSQL, including modernization to cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, GCP. The candidate should have deep expertise in database architecture, migration strategies, performance (Server parameters, Query) optimisation and tuning, and cloud-native database solutions.
Key areas of expertise and responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end database migration projects (Oracle, MS SQL Server PostgreSQL)
- Define migration strategy: rehost, replatform, refactor, or hybrid approach
- Design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance database architectures
- Assess existing database environments and provide migration roadmaps
- Ensure data integrity, consistency, and minimal downtime
- Optimize SQL queries, PL/SQL, T-SQL PL/pgSQL conversion
- Implement performance tuning, indexing, and partitioning strategies
- Design and execute data validation and reconciliation processes
- Collaborate with application teams to refactor schema and optimize workloads
- Handle HA/DR architecture, backup and recovery strategies
- Drive best practices for security, compliance, and governance
- Provide technical leadership and mentor engineering teams

- Large-scale DB migrations (TB-scale preferred)
