Your Role
- Assess existing database environments and define robust migration strategies tailored to business needs.
- Plan and execute migrations across platforms such as Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Azure SQL, and AWS RDS.
- Develop migration runbooks, deployment strategies, and rollback plans to ensure minimal downtime and risk mitigation.
- Perform data validation, reconciliation, and performance tuning post-migration to ensure system stability and efficiency.
- Collaborate with architects, infrastructure, application, and business teams to ensure seamless migration delivery.
Your Profile
- Strong hands-on experience in database migration, administration, and optimization across multiple database platforms.
- Expertise in SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and exposure to NoSQL databases like MongoDB.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation using SQL, PowerShell, Python, or Shell scripting.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, or GCP, including migration services/tools.
- Solid analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills with a focus on data integrity and performance.
