Zos Administrator to join our Infra - GTO Exec Admin team and help us unleash
the potential of every business.
What you'll own
* Responsible for administration of very large scale OLTP and analytical
databases.
* Implement health checks and propose changes to database configuration,
tuning, and capacity.
* Provide SQL performance tuning and load testing expertise, to application
developers and support personnel.
* Provide team on-call rotational 24/7 Incident Response.
* Provide database metrics to promote cost reduction and capacity planning.
* Build and maintain HA and DR processes for the databases.
* Deploy database changes in strict accordance with Service Management policies
and procedures.
* Support line of business and project initiatives.
* Be a productive team member and embrace team collaboration.
What you bring
* Bachelor's degree in CS/MIS or equivalent experience
* Minimum 8+ years of Db2 Mainframe database administration experience and
production support requiring Db2z V11 or V12 experience
* Hands on experience with performance tuning of complex SQLs
* Experience working with very large database Partitioning (> billion rows) and
REORG purge
* Experience working with large systems in data sharing sysplex environment
* Deep expertise in general database best practices; health checks, capacity
planning, etc
* Db2 Connect and Db2 Client installations and configuration support
* Proficiency working with IBM Db2 Admin tool suite, Query Monitor, and
Omegamon (Db2 PE) and in-depth knowledge of Db2 utilities such as LOAD,
UNLOAD, High Speed Unload, RUNSTAT, REORG, COPY, COPYTOCOPY, MERGECOPY,
MODIFY and SPUFI.
* Experience with REXX scripting and Stored Procedures (migrations)
* Positive communication skills, able to work closely with others application
developers and system programmers.
