01Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Relationship Management:
- Develop and manage relationships with real estate developers, construction companies, REITs, and related ecosystem participants.
- Identify and acquire new-to-bank clients within the real estate sector.
- Build strong relationships with promoters, CFOs, finance heads, and key stakeholders.
- Deepen client engagement and enhance wallet share across banking products.
Credit Origination & Deal Structuring:
- Source and structure lending opportunities, including project finance, construction finance, lease rental discounting, working capital, and term loans.
- Assess financing requirements and develop customized solutions aligned with client needs.
- Coordinate with credit, legal, technical, and risk teams for transaction execution.
- Prepare business proposals, financial analyses, and credit recommendations.
Portfolio Management:
- Manage a portfolio of real estate clients while ensuring profitability and portfolio quality.
- Monitor project progress, financial performance, cash flows, and covenant compliance.
- Conduct regular client reviews and identify opportunities for portfolio expansion.
- Maintain asset quality through proactive risk monitoring and early warning identification.
Cross-Selling & Revenue Generation:
- Drive cross-selling of transaction banking, cash management, trade finance, treasury, escrow, and liability products.
- Collaborate with internal product teams to provide integrated banking solutions.
- Generate fee income and enhance relationship profitability.
Risk & Compliance Management:
- Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines, internal policies, and sector exposure norms.
- Monitor portfolio risks and recommend corrective actions where required.
- Maintain robust KYC, AML, and credit monitoring standards.
- Support audit, regulatory, and compliance requirements.
Market Intelligence & Sector Coverage:
- Track real estate market trends, regulatory developments, and competitive dynamics.
- Build a strong network across developers, consultants, investors, and industry participants.
- Identify emerging opportunities in residential, commercial, industrial, warehousing, and mixed-use developments.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
- New client acquisition and portfolio growth
- Loan book and revenue growth
- Cross-sell and fee income generation
- Portfolio profitability
- Asset quality and delinquency levels
- Client retention and relationship deepening
- Compliance and risk management metrics
Desired Candidate Profile:
- MBA (Finance), CA, CFA, or equivalent professional qualification.
- 12 years of experience in Corporate Banking, Real Estate Finance, Project Finance, or Commercial Banking.
- Strong understanding of real estate financing structures, project appraisal, and credit underwriting.
- Experience in managing relationships with developers and large real estate groups.
- Sound knowledge of market dynamics, regulatory requirements, and sector-specific risks. .
