Design of cooling system and drivetrain components
Concept development within thermal management systems
Maintenance and structuring tasks (e.g. bill of materials)

Contents:
Create and manage CAD data, design space analyses
Communication with interface partners (supplier & internal BMW departments)
Creation of releases (NAEL) & construction deviations (BAW) with implementation timing, part number creation and publication of CAD data/drawings
Must have technical skill
Required skills:
Technical understanding of components, drawings and their parts lists in the development of drivetrains, e.g. cooling parts (cooling modules with heat exchangers, fan, shrouds, thermostat, expansion tanks, hoses and pipes for coolant, oil and petrol) air intake (ducts, air box with filter element, resonators), tank ventilation valve and exhaust system (hot end, cold end). Additional Support Brackets
Design in CATIA V5, installation space analyses (e.g. engine comprtment, underfloor, .)
including additional tool IPS-Flex for analyzing operating envelope of parts
Generation of SAP codes to release parts according to vehicle configurations (Boolean thermals with BMW specific vehicle/special euqipment/country codes)
Parts release: access to and knowledge of the BMW IT systems (see service level agreement/LSV: e.g. iRAM, ReleaseControlCenter (FLS), documentation of design changes (gAMS) but also new tools such as COBRA)
General understanding of automotive standards (ISO, DIN, VDA,.)
Self motivated, good communication skills
Degree: studies in mechanical engineering with at least 3 years of experience in automotive industry or equivalent qualificatian as CAD technician with relevant experience
Good to have Technical skills
Familiarity with vehicle Cooling components.
Knowledge of materials selection and manufacturability considerations for mobility components
Experience with change management and Engineering Release of parts in system.
