Design Engineer PHE / FF Job Location: Hyderabad Experience: 810 Years Qualification: B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering Industry: EPC | Data Centers | MEP | Oil & Gas | Power Plants | Commercial & Industrial Projects Job Type: Full-Time Job Description We are looking for an experienced Design Engineer PHE/FF (Public Health Engineering / Fire Fighting) with strong experience in PHE and Fire Fighting system design, engineering, coordination and technical documentation. The candidate will be responsible for developing detailed designs, performing technical calculations, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, reviewing engineering documents and providing design support during project execution and commissioning. Key Responsibilities Develop detailed PHE and Fire Fighting system designs, layouts, schematics and calculations. Design water supply, drainage, STP, fire suppression and pipe support systems. Select appropriate equipment and develop cost-effective and efficient design solutions. Prepare and review BOQs, technical submittals, equipment specifications and material requisitions. Coordinate with architects, structural teams and other MEP disciplines. Resolve technical queries from clients, consultants, vendors and subcontractors. Provide technical/design support to procurement and site execution teams. Support resolution of design-related issues during execution and commissioning. Conduct design self-checks and peer reviews to ensure accuracy and compliance. Ensure designs comply with applicable NBC, NFPA, IS codes, standards and project specifications. Manage technical deliverables across multiple projects and stakeholders. Required Skills & Experience 810 years of professional experience in PHE & Fire Fighting system design and project engineering. Strong expertise in Water Supply, Drainage and STP systems. Hands-on experience in Fire Fighting / Fire Suppression Systems. Good knowledge of Pumps, Sprinklers, Fire Fighting Equipment and Pipe Supports. Experience with Control Panel Logic, PLC Logic and System Schematics. Proficiency in AutoCAD, BIM and Navisworks. Strong knowledge of NBC, NFPA and IS Standards. Good understanding of technical calculations and engineering documentation. Experience coordinating with clients, consultants, architects, contractors, vendors and other MEP disciplines. Experience in EPC, Data Center, MEP, Oil & Gas, Power Plant, Commercial or Industrial Projects is preferred. Educational Qualification B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering is required. Membership in recognized plumbing/fire-fighting societies and certification in BIM or advanced design tools will be an added advantage.
