DGM - Legal Contracts

You will be a part of the legal contracts team at Paytm, where your main responsibility will be to effectively manage legal and contractual matters, as well as identify and mitigate legal risks for the organization. Additionally, you will assist senior legal colleagues in special projects across various divisions of Paytm.

- Draft, review, red-line, negotiate, and finalize various documents (Contracts, Letters, Proposals, RFPs, etc.) from a legal perspective to ensure minimal to no risk to the organization. - Resolve any contractual issues that may arise while working with clients, partners, service providers, and vendors. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams (compliance, product, finance, business teams) to implement special projects across all business verticals within stipulated timelines. - Understand and analyze business requirements, identify issues, and propose/implement solutions. - Adhere to internal frameworks, mandates, and processes for end-to-end legal management of assigned business transactions. - Provide general corporate advisory support and assist senior colleagues in researching and assessing the viability of new proposed business models under applicable ecommerce and FEMA regulations. - Analyze business processes and proposed products, identify issues, and propose solutions while working closely with internal stakeholders. - Identify risks in ongoing legal agreements, evaluate changes needed in agreement templates, and ensure legal processes across all business verticals comply with relevant IT, ecommerce, and privacy laws.

- Minimum 8 years of experience in end-to-end contract management, preferably in a law firm or in-house legal team within a loan service provider, tech company, or e-commerce startup. - Strong legal acumen and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate and coordinate complex issues with different levels of management and employees. - Ability to work independently, attention to detail, good drafting, and analytical skills. - Thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic growth environment. - Proficiency in MS Word/MS Office. - Experience in payments, banking, or trading company is highly preferred. - Ability to assess and advise on compliance of new business/product models with relevant e-commerce, FEMA, Data Protection, and IT laws.
