Role Description The Director of Sales Marketing is a full-time, on-site role based at Merlis Hotels in Coimbatore. This role is responsible for developing and executing sales and marketing strategies to grow revenue, increase occupancy, and strengthen the hotels brand presence in corporate, leisure, and group segments. Day-to-day responsibilities include leading the sales team, managing key accounts, identifying new business opportunities, overseeing promotional campaigns, and ensuring consistent messaging across all channels. The Director will analyze market trends, prepare sales forecasts and reports, collaborate closely with operations and front office teams to enhance guest experience, and represent the hotel at networking events, trade shows, and client meetings. The role also involves monitoring performance against targets, optimizing sales processes, and coaching team members to achieve individual and collective goals. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong skills in Sales and Business Development, including lead generation, account management, and revenue growth.Candidates should possess skills in Sales Operations, such as pipeline management, forecasting, reporting, and process optimization.Candidates should possess Customer Service skills, with a focus on building long-term client relationships and ensuring a high level of satisfaction.Candidates should possess Team Management skills, including the ability to motivate, mentor, and develop a diverse sales and marketing team.Relevant experience in hotel or hospitality sales leadership, preferably in a similar market or region.Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with proficiency in English; additional local language skills are an advantage.Ability to work on-site in Coimbatore and collaborate effectively with cross-functional hotel teams.Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, Hospitality Management, or a related field; advanced certifications or postgraduate qualifications are beneficial.Candidates with Tamil language knowledge is preferred.
