Description:
- Collaborate with the UK Compliance leadership to identify areas/ activities that can be supported from India and manage the set-up and delivery to create centres of excellence
- Provide subject matter expertise on UK retail banking products, regulatory environment, including Consumer Duty and the Bank's Compliance Risk Framework to UK India Compliance colleagues
- Provide education, training and support to members of the BUK India Compliance team
- Stakeholder management of BUK Compliance MDs/directors to ensure effective matrix management of the UK Compliance team based in India
- On behalf of the UK Compliance Leadership team, undertake specific business oversight accountabilities and provide effective checks and challenges to the business
- Provide thought leadership and compliance expertise within the Compliance function, including the continued embedment of the Business Oversight Compliance (BOC) Target Operating Model (TOM).
- As a member of the Compliance India leadership team, support the growth and value proposition of the Compliance India hub
Essential Skills/Basic Qualifications:
- Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills at a senior level.
- Ability to provide strong people leadership, performance management and talent development.
- Proven communication and problem-solving skills. Creative thinking, strong judgment and decision-making.
- A solid understanding of retail banking.
- Strong experience in risk management and Compliance at a senior level.
