Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Direct Tax Chartered Accountant role based in Mumbai. The professional in this position will manage direct tax compliance, including tax return preparation, tax computations, and coordination with tax authorities. Day-to-day responsibilities include advising on tax planning strategies, interpreting and applying tax laws, and ensuring accurate maintenance of tax and finance records. The role involves reviewing financial statements for tax implications, supporting audits and assessments, and preparing detailed tax reports, opinions, and documentation. The Chartered Accountant will collaborate closely with finance and management teams to optimize tax efficiency, mitigate risks, and maintain adherence to regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
Strong expertise in tax planning and tax preparation, with the ability to design and implement effective direct tax strategies.In-depth knowledge of direct tax and tax law, including relevant regulations, compliance requirements, and case law.Solid understanding of finance and accounting principles as they relate to taxation and financial reporting.Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification with at least 5+ years of post-qualification experience in direct tax.Experience handling tax assessments, audits, and liaison with tax authorities and regulatory bodies.Proficiency in tax and accounting software, along with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to communicate complex tax concepts clearly, work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, and manage multiple engagements.Prior experience in a CA firm or corporate tax environment in India, especially focused on Mumbai-based or similar jurisdictions, is an advantage. .
