Automotive Android Middleware Developer Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Automotive Android Middleware Developer with 6 to 12 years of relevant experience in framework development for automotive infotainment systems. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in Embedded C, Bluedroid profiles, AIDL, and HAL, along with expertise in porting and adapting Android Framework layers to infotainment platforms. Knowledge of Audio Flinger and the Audio subsystem will be highly beneficial for this role. Responsibilities Develop and enhance Automotive Android Middleware for infotainment systems. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement middleware solutions. Port and adapt Android Framework layers to suit the specific requirements of infotainment platforms. Work on Embedded C programming, Bluedroid profiles, AIDL (Android Interface Definition Language), and HAL (Hardware Abstraction Layer). Ensure the compatibility and seamless integration of middleware with existing systems. Conduct testing and debugging of middleware components to ensure optimal performance and reliability. Identify and resolve issues related to Audio Flinger and Audio subsystems in the context of automotive applications. Stay updated with industry trends and best practices related to Android middleware development for the automotive domain. Requirements Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. 6 to 12 years of experience in Automotive Android Middleware and framework development. Proficiency in Embedded C programming and experience with Bluedroid profiles. Strong understanding and hands-on experience with AIDL (Android Interface Definition Language) and HAL (Hardware Abstraction Layer). Previous involvement in porting and adapting Android Framework layers to infotainment systems. Familiarity with Audio Flinger and Audio subsystem in the context of automotive applications. Knowledge of Android operating system internals and familiarity with infotainment system development is a plus.
