Roles and Responsibilities
Required Exposure:
Good handle over software configuration management using version control packages like SVN/ GIT. Experience in setting up build servers for CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins. Scripting for automating cross platform interfaces between build server, version control systems, and test systems. Understanding of software unit test flows. Exposure to automotive control units and associated testing hardware.[NI teststand/ Vector vTest or other] Preferred add-ons:
Embedded software build using Scons/ make/ other. Exposure to variant management. Familiarity with CAN log interpretation. Prior experience with cloud based software delivery system for FOTA. Prior exposure to ASPICE/ CMMi Job profile:
The selected candidate shall work with other project stakeholders to establish and maintain an embedded software DevOps pipeline to facilitate continuous integration, continuous testing, continuous delivery and continuous monitoring using build toolchains and automated test methodologies incorporated into a nightly build system. In doing so, he/ she shall manage multiple variant configurations, and review test case deployment to ensure completeness with respect to design verification plan for the selected configuration.
The selected candidate shall effectively be responsible for certifying all software releases and manage the integration of the DevOps pipeline with the PLM system and other relevant databases/ servers after running all checks in the release checklist. He/ she shall serve as primary contact person in the event of released software deployment issues at control unit manufacturing, vehicle manufacturing, or field. As such, the selected candidate shall closely interact with service and quality teams and feed requirements back to the development teams for refining processes and/ or she shall serve as single point of contact for the enterprise quality team to identify root cause and resolution of any field issues for released control units. Insofar as these issues pertain to software, he/she will work with relevant stakeholders to expand the set of test cases continually that can be run as a regression in the DevOps pipeline.
