Headquartered in India, its flagship product, the PhonePe digital payments app, was launched in Aug 2016. As of April 2025, PhonePe has over 60 Crore (600 Million) registered users and a digital payments acceptance network spread across over 4 Crore (40+ million) merchants. PhonePe also processes over 33 Crore (330+ Million) transactions daily with an Annualized Total Payment Value (TPV) of over INR 150 lakh crore.

As a leader, you will be:
Facilitating discussions and leading decision-making on all engineering aspects of his/her teamAble to define and execute the engineering plans for the areas under his/her ownershipDrive engineering best practices for the teamDefine, implement, and maintain the hygiene of the production systems (both engineering and processes) for the areas under his/her ownershipResponsible for the health of the business directly owned by the teamChallenging business & product on outcomes, channelize feedback into execution, and be accountable for engineering outputsHiring, mentoring, and retaining a best-of-class engineering teamResponsible for all stakeholder management including but not limited to business, product, operations, and clients/vendors
As a leader, you must have:
Proven skills in designing and developing simple to complex solutions including experience in designing and implementing large-scale distributed systems.Proven track record building and managing high-performing software development teamsPractical experience and ability to drive the design and architecture of multiple subsystems with other senior members of the teamBTech, MTech, or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical discipline (or equivalent)11+ years of software development experience and 3+ years in leading teamsExcellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information clearly and concisely to a variety of audiencesexperience with startups and fast-paced environments is an added advantage
