About this Opportunity
We are looking for a hands-on Engineering Manager to lead 2-3 agile delivery pods across multiple product teams. The role combines technical leadership, delivery ownership, people management, and operational excellence. The successful candidate will drive high-quality software delivery while collaborating closely with Product, Support, and Professional Services teams.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage 2-3 agile delivery pods across multiple product teams.Own delivery planning, execution, risk management, and release readiness.Mentor and develop engineers, technical leads, and future leaders.Provide hands-on technical guidance and architectural oversight.Drive CI/CD, DevOps, automation, and engineering best practices.Champion the use of AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot.Lead adoption of Agentic AI approaches to improve engineering productivity and software delivery.Partner with Support and Professional Services teams to triage, prioritise, and resolve production issues.Drive root cause analysis, defect management, and continuous improvement initiatives.Collaborate effectively with Product, QA, Architecture, and Operations teams.
Required Skills & Experience
10+ years of software engineering experience with at least 3 years in a management or technical leadership role.Proven experience managing multiple agile teams or delivery pods.Strong record of delivering enterprise software solutions.Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.Experience using GitHub Copilot or similar AI-assisted development tools.Experience delivering solutions using Agentic AI or AI-enabled development approaches.Strong understanding of software architecture, APIs, cloud technologies, and modern SDLC practices.Experience managing production support, customer escalations, and incident resolution.Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills.
Desirable Skills
Ruby on Rails experience.Oracle APEX experience.Experience in healthcare, life sciences, or other regulated industries.Exposure to Azure AI, OpenAI, Anthropic, Copilot Studio, or similar AI platforms.
