By conducting detailed surveys and objective assessments, the company supports fair claim settlement and risk evaluation. Team members work closely with insurers, policyholders, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate reporting and high service standards. Role Description The Engineering Trainee will work full time on-site in Coimbatore, supporting the technical assessment of insurance claims related to engineering and associated lines of business. Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting senior surveyors in site inspections, collecting technical data, taking photographs, and preparing initial notes on damages and possible causes. The role involves helping draft survey reports, organizing documentation, and maintaining records in line with company and regulatory requirements. The trainee will coordinate with clients and insurance representatives as needed, follow up on information requests, and learn standard industry practices and guidelines. This position offers structured mentorship and hands-on exposure to engineering risk assessment within the general insurance sector. Qualifications Educational background in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or related field) with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Foundational understanding of industrial equipment, infrastructure, and engineering processes, or strong interest in learning these areas. Ability to conduct site visits, document observations accurately, and support preparation of clear, concise technical reports. Proficiency in basic computer applications (MS Word, Excel, email) and comfort working with digital documentation and photographs. Effective communication skills, professionalism in client interactions, and the capacity to work both independently and as part of a team. Attention to detail, integrity in handling information, and willingness to travel locally for survey assignments as required.
