Equity Research Analyst VJX Research | New Delhi | Full-Time | 59L per annum | Open to freshers and experienced About VJX Research VJX Research is a New Delhi-based family office investment firm being built from the ground up. We invest in listed and unlisted equities across Indian markets, with a focus on identifying high-quality businesses with durable competitive advantages. To start, our primary focus is listed Indian equities-mid, small, and micro-cap names- with unlisted opportunities becoming a larger part of the mandate over time. The firm is in its earliest phase: team, systems, brand, and process are all being built now, with the longer-term goal of a recognized investment platform with an established research team and eventually a formal structure to manage external capital. About the Role This is a foundational role on a very small, early team, where the work you do directly shapes how coverage, process, and research quality get built from scratch. You won't be slotted into an existing system, you'll help create it. As the platform grows, the role grows with it: from broad, hands-on coverage today toward owning a defined area with real depth and independence over time. Key Responsibilities - Build thorough, well-reasoned coverage of listed Indian companies, financial models, a real view on the business beyond the numbers, and management engagement where possible - Include 12 micro-cap names a month as part of your coverage - Develop select coverage into research pieces we publish publicly, educational and analytical, not buy or sell recommendations - Build your own network with company management over time, and help identify and coordinate meetings for the founder - Stay genuinely engaged with markets broadly-reading widely and contributing your own ideas and perspective, not just executing assigned coverage - Present your work on a regular basis, with the emphasis on steady, high-quality progress over hitting a fixed quota What We Are Looking For - Bachelor's degree required - CFA Level 1 (cleared or pursuing) or CA (qualified or pursuing) preferred, though not mandatory for a robust candidate - Genuine, demonstrated interest in financial markets and investing - Real intellectual curiosity and the ability to think and write clearly - Comfortable with close collaboration early on and increasing ownership over time What We Offer - Salary of 59L per annum, commensurate with experience and quality - Direct mentorship from the founder and a senior analyst - Real ownership of your coverage from day one, with a byline on published research - A role that grows meaningfully in scope and independence as the firm grows - A front-row seat to how an investment research platform is built from scratch How to Apply Send your CV and a cover note of no more than three paragraphs to .
