The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in ETL tools, SQL, data transformation, data quality, and cloud/data engineering practices. The role requires close collaboration with business stakeholders, data architects, analytics teams, and application developers to enable efficient and scalable data movement across systems. Required Skills & Qualifications Mandatory Skills - Minimum 4 years of experience in Oracle Data Integrator (ODI). - Solid experience in Sybase ASE to Oracle Data Migration using Oracle Data Integrator (ODI). - 47 years of hands-on experience in ETL development and large-scale data migrations across heterogeneous databases such as Oracle, Sybase, and MySQL. - Advanced proficiency in SQL and Oracle PL/SQL. - Strong expertise in Database Performance Tuning for large data volumes. - Proven experience in end-to-end Sybase ASE to Oracle migration projects. - Experience handling high-volume historical and incremental data loads. - Strong implementation knowledge of Change Data Capture (CDC) mechanisms. - Deep expertise in Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) and Apache NiFi. - Extensive experience in: - Schema Conversion - Data Mapping Definitions - Automated Data Reconciliation across diverse RDBMS environments - Experience with data modeling tools, including: - Logical and Physical Data Modeling - ER Diagrams - Normalization and Denormalization Key Responsibilities - Design and implement ETL pipelines for migrating data across Oracle, Sybase, MySQL, and PostgreSQL databases. - Develop schema conversion strategies and transformation logic. - Optimize migration performance using partitioning, indexing, bulk loading, and query tuning techniques. - Plan and execute migration cutovers with rollback strategies. - Perform validation and reconciliation activities, including row counts, checksums, and referential integrity checks. - Collaborate with DBAs, application owners, and QA teams to ensure successful migration execution. - Document migration artifacts, mapping documents, runbooks, test plans, and validation reports. - Support governance and metadata management activities, ensuring data lineage and master data integrity. Preferred Certifications - Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) - Relevant database or data engineering certifications Educational Qualification - Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. - Post-graduation in the above disciplines is an added advantage.
