Job Title: Vehicle Evaluator / Evaluation Engineer

Job Summary
We are looking for a Vehicle Evaluator / Evaluation Engineer responsible for inspecting and evaluating pre-owned vehicles to determine their overall condition, identify defects, assess repair requirements, and provide an accurate vehicle valuation as per company standards.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct detailed physical and mechanical inspection of pre-owned vehicles.Inspect engine, transmission, suspension, brakes, steering, tyres, electrical systems, AC, and other major components.Identify accidental damage, repainting, dents, scratches, rust, and other defects.Conduct road tests wherever required to assess vehicle performance.Verify vehicle documents, registration details, insurance, service records, and other relevant documents.Identify discrepancies between vehicle condition and available documentation.Prepare accurate inspection/evaluation reports with photographs and observations.Estimate repair and refurbishment requirements.Determine/recommend the appropriate valuation of vehicles based on inspection findings and company guidelines.Ensure all evaluation reports are accurate, complete, and submitted within the prescribed timeline.Coordinate with customers, dealers, vendors, and internal teams as required.Maintain professional and ethical standards during vehicle evaluation.Report any suspected fraud, tampering, document discrepancies, or major defects to the reporting manager.Follow all company SOPs, safety guidelines, and quality standards.Required Skills & Qualifications
Relevant experience in automobile inspection, vehicle evaluation, dealership, workshop, or used-car industry.Good knowledge of automobile components and vehicle diagnostics.Ability to identify mechanical, electrical, structural, and cosmetic defects.Good observation and analytical skills.Basic computer and smartphone/application skills.Good communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and meet inspection targets.Valid driving licence and ability to drive vehicles is preferred.Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Accuracy of vehicle evaluation.Number of vehicles inspected.Timely completion of inspection reports.Identification of major defects and damages.Compliance with evaluation SOPs.Quality and completeness of inspection documentation.Customer/dealer satisfaction.Preferred Experience
410 years of experience in vehicle inspection, automobile evaluation, dealership, workshop, used-car operations, or a related field. Freshers with relevant automobile qualifications and strong technical knowledge may also be considered.
