01Role Overview
Supports the procurement and supply chain function by managing sourcing activities, supplier relationships, and purchasing processes to ensure the timely and cost-effective procurement of goods and services. This role works closely with internal stakeholders and suppliers to maintain supply continuity, achieve cost efficiencies, and ensure quality and compliance standards are met. The position offers an excellent chance to develop strategic sourcing capabilities while contributing to day-to-day procurement operations.
OVERALL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Support the sourcing and procurement of materials, products, and services in line with business requirements.
Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers while maintaining strong relationships with existing vendors.
Obtain and compare supplier quotations, negotiate pricing and commercial terms within approved guidelines, and recommend sourcing decisions.
Create and manage purchase orders, ensuring timely order placement and delivery tracking.
Coordinate with suppliers to resolve issues related to delivery schedules, quality, pricing, and documentation.
Work closely with operations, production, finance, and quality teams to understand procurement needs and ensure uninterrupted supply.
Monitor supplier performance, including on-time delivery, quality, and responsiveness, and maintain supplier performance records.
Maintain accurate procurement data, supplier records, and purchasing documentation within ERP systems.
Prepare regular reports on purchasing activities, supplier performance, spend analysis, and savings initiatives.
Assist in inventory planning by coordinating with planning and warehouse teams to minimize stock shortages and excess inventory.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance procurement processes and operational efficiency. .
