We're now seeking an Experienced Dental Billing Specialist & Revenue Cycle Manager to join our team on a remote basis. As a key player in our organization, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the day-to-day operations of client accounts and support staff, ensuring compliance with billing policies and procedures, and maintaining accurate records. Key Responsibilities Managing Client Accounts: As an account manager, you will be responsible for fostering strong relationships between our organization and its clients. This involves understanding client needs and objectives, communicating with them regularly, and ensuring their expectations are met. Overseeing Support Staff: You will manage and direct the support staff who work with you, involving training and mentoring new employees, delegating tasks, and ensuring everyone on your team works efficiently and effectively. Ensuring Compliance: Compliance is critical in healthcare. You will be responsible for ensuring our organization complies with all applicable payer, state, and federal guidelines, staying updated with the latest regulations and laws, implementing appropriate policies and procedures, and training your staff on compliance requirements. Managing Day-to-Day Operations: You will oversee your team's day-to-day operations and the client accounts under your care. This involves tracking key performance indicators, addressing issues, and ensuring your team meets its goals and objectives. Technical Skills and Competencies To excel in this role, you must possess a strong understanding of dental billing and coding practices. Key technical skills include: Proper Posting of Insurance Payments: Accurately recording and reconciling payments received from insurance companies for dental services provided to patients. Extensive Knowledge of Dental Coding and Posting Laws and Regulations: A deep understanding of the coding and billing requirements for dental procedures, as well as the rules and regulations governing insurance payments and reimbursements. Required Adjustments on Insurance Payments: Reviewing insurance payments and making necessary adjustments to patient accounts to ensure correct payment application and appropriate billing of remaining balances. Accurate Notation of Patient Accounts: Keeping detailed records of patient visits, treatments, and billing information to ensure patient accounts are up-to-date and accurate. Payor Website Utilization: Using online tools provided by insurance companies to submit claims, check claim status, and verify patient eligibility and benefits. AR Reports and Denial Appeals: Reviewing and addressing outstanding balances on patient accounts and working to resolve issues preventing payment from insurance companies. Sending Insurance Claims and Ensuring Timely Filing: Submitting claims within the required time frame to ensure timely reimbursement. Utilizing HIPAA Guidelines: Adhering to the guidelines and regulations set forth by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) to ensure patient health information privacy and security. Requirements and Qualifications To be considered for this role, you must: Have a minimum of 2 years of dental billing experience. Experience as a Dental Office Manager is a plus. Pass our dental billing skills assessment exam to demonstrate your proficiency. Provide your own equipment, including a computer, high-speed internet, scanner, printer, and shredder. Dual monitors are encouraged for enhanced productivity. Possess excellent time management skills to efficiently manage your workload and meet deadlines. Be willing to undertake suggested study materials ("Coding with Confidence" and "Administration with Confidence" by Charles Blair) to enhance your skills and knowledge.
