About the Opportunity
We are seeking an Experienced Loan Officer Assistant with strong income and credit analysis skills to support a top-producing Loan Officer based in Dallas, TX. The majority of production is in Texas, and this role supports a high-volume, referral-driven business model fueled by strong real estate agent relationships and social media engagement.
This is not an entry-level position. We are looking for someone confident in income analysis, credit review, AUS findings, file documentation, and pipeline coordination someone who can think like an underwriter and operate like a strategic partner to a high-performing loan officer.
This is a fully remote position. You may live anywhere in the United States.

Primary Responsibilities
Income, Credit & Scenario Analysis
Review and analyze borrower income scenarios
Evaluate complex income types, including:
Self-employed borrowers (Schedule C, K-1, 1120S/1120 returns)
Commission and bonus income
Traveling nurses and contract income
Variable, seasonal, or declining income
Review full tri-merge credit reports
Analyze credit profiles for risk, payment patterns, and qualifying factors
Identify potential red flags early
Run Automated Underwriting Systems (AUS) such as DU/LP
Interpret AUS findings and structure files accordingly
Utilize income analyzer software to support calculations
Structure clean, well-documented pre-approvals
LOS Documentation & File Management (Core Responsibility)
Enter and maintain detailed file documentation in the LOS throughout the life of the loan
Add thorough, clear, and compliance-ready notes at every stage
Document income calculations, credit analysis, AUS findings, and decision rationale
Maintain organized electronic files to prepare for processing and underwriting
Ensure loan files are audit-ready at all times
Pipeline & Team Coordination
Provide daily pipeline status reports to the Loan Officer
Monitor file progression and proactively identify potential issues
Coordinate closely with:
Top-Producing Loan Officer
Processor
Underwriters
Company Owner
Ensure smooth communication between all parties
Support document review and pre-underwriting preparation
Help maintain speed, structure, and quality in a high-volume pipeline
Ideal Candidate Profile
3+ years mortgage industry experience
Prior mortgage underwriting experience strongly preferred
Strong income analysis background
Confident reviewing tax returns and complex borrower scenarios
Experience reviewing credit reports and running AUS
Extremely detail-oriented and organized
Strong written documentation skills
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, referral-heavy environment
Able to think critically and problem-solve independently
Self-motivated and reliable in a remote setting
Technology & Tools
CRM with automated borrower communication
Income analyzer software provided
LOS experience required (ARIVE or similar preferred)
Experience with DU/LP required
