01Overview
Responsible for driving technical accounting compliance, financial and
operational internal controls, process simplification, and operational
excellence to deliver accurate actual financial reporting and analysis. Has
knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; is aware of
the competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market.
The Finance Control Analyst is expected to have full knowledge of project
built up in SAP , all financial movements within the project and particularly
cash and ensures such information is consistent and reconciled on a regular
basis.
Invoicing for milestone and progress payments, & support to the Project
Director for cash collection.
Defining the revenue milestones at project inception and monitoring the
same.
Check, control and monitor cost movements monthly, using: -
Purchase Order information
Time bookings and manpower charts.
Recorded costs, and Costs to Complete (including working with the
functional personnel on their forecast)
Cash flow management:
Timing & management of cash movements.
Forecasting of cash movements.
An understanding of foreign exchange issues affecting the project and
undertaking at least six monthly a full reconciliation of all forex positions
on the project (cash in/out) in conjunction with the treasury function.
Understand the bonds and guarantees issued to Customer by the project, and
pro-actively manage these instruments, through: -
Issuing
Reduction.
Extension/Cancellation
Reasonable knowledge of Taxes, insurances and duties required, and the effect
on the project costs/cash flows (inclusive of the onshore).
Provide support for claim compilation and risk assessment.
Project internal controls must be implemented and fully compliant, providing
support for financial audits by CAS or external auditors
Management and reconciliation of project results both within the Project
accounts with respect to Balance Sheet positions related to the .
