Role Overview
Ganpat University Goa (Proposed) is a new private university in Goa with a focus on providing multidisciplinary education in technology, management, Computer Applications, and other emerging fields. As the Finance Officer, you will play a crucial role in managing and overseeing the financial operations of the university to ensure its financial stability and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage accounting, accounts receivable, accounts payable, budget management, financial information systems, credit management, collections, fiscal planning, financial statement preparation, and investing.
- Safeguard the financial assets of the university by providing budget management and monitoring appropriate investments.
- Prepare various Standard Operating Procedures (SoP) for the university's accounts.
- Promote a customer-oriented service attitude and scrutinize accounts for adequate decision-making.
- Monitor students' fee collection system and take necessary actions for deviations.
- Develop, maintain, and preserve all documents and files of the accounts section for quick resolution of queries.
- Continuously improve the accounting process and promote online payment systems.
- Ensure all financial transactions comply with approved policies, guidelines, and procedures.
- Prepare the overall budget, financial statements, and ledgers of all accounts.
- Improve financial transaction processes with minimal human intervention for quick data access.
- Expedite bill payments parallel to cheque clearance or e-payment to mitigate delays.
- Prepare documents for the Finance Committee and furnish required data in appropriate formats.
- Complete miscellaneous assignments related to financial services as assigned by competent authority.
- Coordinate the account department with other sections for overall operational efficiency.
- Facilitate and support all sections of the university for enhanced service standards in accounting and finance.
- Maintain honesty, integrity, and transparency while performing duties.
- Immediately report any irregularities found to the authorities.
Qualifications Required
