EY- Assurance Staff- FAAS Record to Report (R2R) About Global Delivery Services Global Delivery Services refers to EY's worldwide network of service delivery centers. The GDS team plays an important role in EYs strategy by ensuring effective support to EYs growth agenda. Our journey started in 2002 with approximately 200 people. Today we stand at 80,000+ professionals in ten locations around the world. We operate in Argentina, China, Hungary, India, Philippines, Poland, Sri Lanka, Mexico, Spain and the United Kingdom. Enablement Services provides cost-effective, high-skilled, and innovative services to support EYs global and local enablement teams. Markets, BMC, AWS, Finance and Accounting, Risk Management, Procurement, People Shared Services, IT Service Delivery and IT Global Infrastructure services, are among the services offered by Enablement Services. Our innovation specialists serve the GDS Client Service and Enablement Services teams, along with Service Lines, Core Business Services and Sectors. The teambrings the desired environment, technologies and skilled teams together for facilitation, rapid prototyping and innovative thinking. The competencies offered include analytics, digital, user experience, mobile technology, infrastructure, Microsoft technologies and open innovation. The Opportunity Were looking for incumbents who is responsible for the timeliness and quality of the work as per Project requirements for our FAAS team and possess good accounting knowledge under IFRS/US GAAP. The role requires prior experience and knowledge of period end close, general accounting and financial reporting activities. You will be responsible for executing tasks with increasing autonomy, applying sound judgment within defined parameters, and contributing to team outcomes. You are expected to demonstrate initiative, resolve routine issues independently, and support junior colleagues. You will anticipate and identify risks within engagements and share any issues with senior members of the team. In line with EY commitment to quality, youll confirm that work is of high quality and is reviewed by the next-level reviewer. Your Key Responsibilities Journal entries creation and booking Responsible for performing monthly, quarterly, and annual closing of books Fixed Assets capitalisation, maintenance and its reconciliations Intercompany accounting and reconciliations General Ledger Reconciliations Ensure adherence and meeting the KPIs and SLA Receive direction from the Senior and Manager Maintain effective coordination with multiple stakeholders Variance Reporting & Analytical Review Support Seniors and Managers in building the necessary documents like SOPs and other end user training materials Ensure quality in delivering client service by directing daily progress of fieldwork, informing Supervisors of engagement status Demonstrate a good understanding of accounting concepts; stay informed of professional standards and firm policies (e.g., guidelines of the EY FAAS Policy Manual); and effectively apply this knowledge to moderately difficult and/or complex client situation Skills and attributes for success Basic knowledge of IFRS / US GAAP, UK GAAP Working experience in relation to the following services/solutions: Business unit /Entity level reporting Intercompany accounting Fixed Assets accounting and its capitalisation Consolidation and compilation support Financial statement close process support Accounting for leases Ability and comfort level in researching client inquires and emerging issues, including regulations, industry practices and new technologies Ideally, youll also SAP S4/Hana public or private cloud understanding MS Excel knowledge, Pivot, VLOOKUP, Macros, MS Office IT Skills; ERP (PeopleSoft/SAP/Oracle) Understanding of any Data analytics/visualisation tools will be additional advantage. Flexibility and willingness to travel on short notice, as necessary Good communication, Interpersonal, Analytical Skills & highly proactive in approach What we look for B.com, BBA, CA (Inter), CWA (Inter), ACCA (UK), DIP (IFR) or MBA from a reputed institute 1-3 years relevant experience including experience in Entity/BU reporting, Financial statement close process support and MIS reporting What we offer you At EY, well develop you with future-focused skills .
