Role Overview
You will be responsible for analyzing financial data, creating financial models for decision support, conducting benchmarking, and process analysis. Additionally, you will analyze financial performance against key business metrics, develop financial forecasts, and assist in the preparation of financial reports.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze financial data and create financial models for decision support.
- Conduct benchmarking and process analysis.
- Analyze financial performance against key business metrics and document pertinent financial highlights.
- Develop financial forecasts and business models.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Provide analysis of trends and forecasts and recommend actions for optimization.
- Evaluate financial performance by comparing actual results with plans and forecasts.
- Identify and drive process improvements, including creating standard and ad-hoc reports, tools, and Excel dashboards.
- Increase productivity by developing automated reporting/forecasting tools.
- Prepare monthly reports to identify results, trends, and financial forecasts.
- Assist with financial and tax audits.
Qualifications Required
- Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- 2-4 years of experience in financial analysis, preferably in [industry/sector].
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient in financial modeling and forecasting.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel; experience with financial systems/ERP is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting and data mining tools such as SQL, Access, etc.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- CFA or CPA certification is a plus.
