About the job:
We are seeking a Fraud Analyst with experience investigating digital payment fraud, including Zelle, P2P (Peer-to-Peer) transactions, and Account Takeover (ATO) incidents. The ideal candidate will combine strong investigative skills with the ability to analyze transaction data using SQL and Excel to identify fraud trends and support risk mitigation.
Key Responsibilities
Investigate fraud cases related to Zelle, P2P payments, and ATO.Review suspicious transactions, account activity, device, and login patterns to identify fraudulent behavior.Perform root cause analysis and document investigation findings.Use intermediate SQL to query and analyze transaction data.Use advanced Excel to prepare reports, analyze trends, and support fraud investigations.Collaborate with Fraud Operations, Risk, Compliance, and other stakeholders.Recommend process improvements to reduce fraud losses.Required QualificationsExperience in fraud investigations within banking or financial services.Hands-on experience investigating Zelle, P2P, and ATO fraud.Intermediate SQL (joins, aggregations, filtering, subqueries).Advanced Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH, advanced formulas, data analysis).Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.Preferred Qualifications
Experience with fraud monitoring or case management tools.Knowledge of digital payments, banking operations, AML/KYC, and fraud prevention practices.Experience in fraud trend analysis and reporting.
