Job Description

Frontend

Mobile App: React Native

Authentication: AWS Cognito + Twilio (SMS verification)

Push Notifications: Firebase

Analytics: Amplitude SDK for event tracking

 

Backend

Language/Framework: Node.js with Express

API Architecture: RESTful APIs

Containerization: Docker

Hosting: AWS ECS (Elastic Container Service)

 

Database & Storage

Primary Database: AWS Aurora PostgreSQL (currently single instance)

Optimized for initial scale

Read replicas will be added as user base grows

Backup & Restore disaster recovery approach

File Storage: AWS S3 (with CloudFront CDN)

Media Delivery: CloudFront for secure, low-latency image delivery

Encryption: AWS KMS (customer-managed keys) for encryption at rest

Configuration: AWS Parameter Store + Secrets Manager

Secret Protection: Critical credentials encrypted at application/DB level before storage

 

Infrastructure (AWS)

Compute: ECS clusters with Docker containers

Networking: VPC (Virtual Private Cloud) with private subnets

CDN: CloudFront

API Layer: API Gateway

Monitoring: CloudWatch, Sentry (error tracking)

Security: Security Groups, IAM (least privilege), KMS encryption

Future: WAF (Web Application Firewall) for production

 

Data & Analytics

Product Analytics: Amplitude (event-based user behavior)

Internal BI: Metabase (database analytics, dashboards)
