Job Overview
The Lead Platform Engineering GCC is responsible for managing a team of engineers providing Tier 1 and Tier 2 operational support across enterprise infrastructure platforms, including VMware, Cisco UCS, Azure Cloud.
This role ensures reliable day-to-day operations, timely incident resolution, and alignment with US-based engineering teams. The position is execution-focused, emphasizing operational excellence, technical troubleshooting, and team leadership within a global delivery model.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership
Manage and lead a team of approximately 8 engineers supporting multiple infrastructure towers including VMware, Azure, and UCSAssign and prioritize daily operational work, ensuring timely and accurate executionAct as escalation point for complex infrastructure issuesMaintain alignment with US-based leadership through regular communication and reporting
Infrastructure Operations
Support VMware environments including hosts, clusters, and virtual machinesSupport Cisco UCS compute infrastructure including hardware troubleshooting and lifecycle coordinationAdminister Microsoft Windows Server environments including Active Directory and system maintenanceSupport Azure IaaS environments including virtual machines and core servicesExecute standard procedures for provisioning, patching, upgrades, and decommissioning
Incident, Problem, and Change Management
Respond to incidents, perform troubleshooting, and drive resolutionSupport root cause analysis and contribute to problem management activitiesExecute approved changes in compliance with change management processesMaintain accurate documentation of incidents and resolutions
Vendor Coordination
Open and manage support cases with vendors including Microsoft, Red Hat, VMware/Broadcom, and CiscoWork with vendors to troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issuesTrack vendor cases through to resolution
Operational Excellence
Follow and enforce standard operating procedures and runbooksEnsure compliance with patching, security, and operational standardsIdentify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gainsContribute to documentation and knowledge sharing

Requirements
8 or more years of experience in infrastructure engineering or platform operations2 or more years of experience leading technical teams in a global delivery modelHands-on experience with VMware virtualization platformsHands-on experience with Cisco UCS compute infrastructureHands-on experience with Microsoft Windows Server and Active DirectoryHands-on experience with Azure Cloud services focused on IaaSHands-on experience with Unix/Linux systems with preference for RHELStrong troubleshooting skills across compute, operating systems, and virtualization layersExperience working with enterprise vendors and managing support casesWorking knowledge of ITIL processes including incident, problem, and change managementStrong communication and coordination skills across global teams
