Emerald Jewel Industry India Limited is commissioning Universal Hydromet, a 200 TPM precious metals refinery in Coimbatore a full cyanide-leach circuit spanning milling, gravity concentration, intensive and agitated leach, Merrill-Crowe zinc precipitation, on-site smelting to bar, and INCO cyanide detoxification, powered by captive solar.
We are hiring the General Manager who will own this plant end to end: commissioning, ramp-up, safety, environmental compliance, team building, and P&L.
What you will do:
Lead commissioning and ramp-up of the full wet circuit through to stable nameplate operationBuild and lead the operating team: shift supervisors, metallurgists, lab, maintenance, EHSEstablish SOPs, cyanide management protocols, and the plant's safety culture from day oneOwn environmental and regulatory compliance, including TNPCB consents and reportingOwn metallurgical accounting, recovery performance, and plant P&LInterface with the promoter group, EPC contractors, and OEM vendors through handover
Who you are
12+ years in gold processing / hydrometallurgy operations, with senior plant leadership experience you have run a leach/Merrill-Crowe or CIL/CIP plant, not just worked in oneYou have taken at least one plant through commissioningDeep working knowledge of cyanide management (ICMC-aligned practices)Familiarity with Indian environmental compliance (TNPCB or equivalent state pollution control board)Degree in metallurgy, chemical engineering, or mineral processing preferred
Why this role is different
You won't inherit someone else's plant and someone else's problems. You will commission the circuit, build the team, write the SOPs, and set the standard with a promoter group that funds what the process genuinely needs and expects straight answers, not comfortable ones.
Compensation: commensurate with the mandate. Based in Coimbatore, on-site.
