01Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze key software quality performance indicators (KPIs) across global programs, and define effective countermeasures to address deviations or risks in quality performance.
- Plan and execute quality assurance activities for product changes, ensuring thorough impact analysis across software, hardware, manufacturing, and customer-facing functions.
- Ensure that customer-specific quality requirements are fully understood, documented, and implemented throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Provide hands-on coaching and guidance to engineering teams on structured problem-solving methodologies such as 8D, Kenshokai, or 5 Whys, especially in response to development or field issues.
- Take ownership of customer audits by preparing documentation, leading discussions, and aligning internal teams on quality-related expectations and corrective actions.
- Investigate customer complaints and warranty returns by conducting root cause analysis and initiating structured problem-solving processes to prevent recurrence.
- Lead internal initiatives aimed at improving software quality processes, tools, and standards, fostering a culture of continuous improvement across global teams.
- Define measurable quality targets for products in production, and establish monitoring mechanisms to ensure ongoing compliance and performance.
- Facilitate and lead lessons learned sessions across programs and regions, ensuring that insights are captured, shared, and integrated into future projects.
- Track and manage design deviation requests, process changes, and special software releases, ensuring proper documentation, risk assessment, and approvals.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, product design, and validation teams to prepare for product releases, ensuring all quality gates are met and release readiness is confirmed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
- Proven experience in software quality management, preferably in a global setting.
- Strong understanding of quality standards (e.g., ISO, ASPICE, IATF).
- Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
- Experience with customer-facing roles and audit processes.
