About the Role :
We are looking for an experienced Guidewire Data Modeler with deep expertise in Guidewire data structures, data modeling, and modern cloud data platforms.
In this role, you will lead the design and development of enterprise-scale data solutions, enabling advanced analytics and reporting for the insurance domain.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams to build scalable data warehouses and data marts on Azure while driving best practices in data engineering, governance, and DevOps.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead a team of data engineers in designing, developing, and delivering enterprise data solutions.
- Design and implement scalable data models, data warehouses, and data marts for analytics and reporting.
- Build and optimize end-to-end data pipelines using Azure Databricks and Snowflake.
- Develop robust ETL/ELT frameworks for processing large-scale insurance data.
- Design data solutions based on Guidewire PolicyCenter (PC), BillingCenter (BC), and ClaimCenter (CC) data structures.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate reporting and analytics requirements into scalable data models.
- Lead Agile ceremonies, including Program Increment (PI) Planning, Sprint Planning, and backlog refinement using Jira.
- Conduct code reviews and mentor engineering teams on coding standards, performance optimization, and best practices.
- Implement DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) methodologies.
- Ensure high standards of data quality, governance, security, and compliance.
- Support insurance reporting, regulatory requirements, and business KPI development.
Required Skills & Experience :
- 10+ years of experience in Data Modeling, Data Warehousing, and Enterprise Data Engineering.
- Strong expertise in Guidewire data structures across PolicyCenter (PC), BillingCenter (BC), and ClaimCenter (CC).
- Hands-on experience designing and implementing Data Warehouses and Data Marts.
- Extensive experience with Azure Databricks and Snowflake.
- Strong understanding of ETL/ELT architecture and large-scale data transformation.
- Experience leading technical teams and mentoring data engineers.
- Hands-on experience with Azure cloud services and modern data engineering practices.
- Strong knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure-as-Code.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments using Jira.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Experience in the Insurance domain with strong knowledge of insurance business processes.
- Understanding of insurance KPIs, regulatory reporting, and enterprise analytics.
- Experience with cloud-native data architectures and modern data lakehouse solutions.
- Exposure to data governance, data quality, and metadata management frameworks.
