01Key Responsibilities
Business Analysis & Requirement Gathering
- Engage with business stakeholders, Product Owners, Product Managers, Architects, and IT teams to understand business needs and objectives.
- Elicit, analyze, document, and validate business and functional requirements using structured analysis techniques.
- Facilitate workshops, requirement gathering sessions, and stakeholder discussions to achieve consensus across teams.
- Translate business requirements into clear Epics, Features, User Stories, acceptance criteria, and functional specifications.
Insurance Domain Expertise
- Work across core General Insurance functions including:
- Quote & Buy
- Sales & Distribution
- Policy Administration
- Underwriting
- Claims Management
- Payments & Collections
- Output/Input Management
- Access Management Systems
- Support business transformation and process improvement initiatives within insurance platforms and operations.
Agile Delivery & Sprint Support
- Contribute to Sprint 0 and early-stage project setup activities including scope definition, backlog creation, and requirement prioritization.
- Collaborate closely with Agile delivery teams during sprint planning, grooming, testing, and release activities.
- Ensure requirements are well-defined and development teams are aligned on expected business outcomes.
- Drive early testing readiness by defining functional test scenarios, business rules, and data requirements.
Process Modelling & Documentation
- Create detailed process flows, BPMN diagrams, use cases, and data models using industry-standard modelling techniques.
- Maintain project documentation and requirement traceability using tools such as Jira and Confluence.
- Support solution validation, UAT coordination, and change management activities.
Stakeholder & Delivery Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with business and technical stakeholders across all levels.
- Influence decision-making through effective communication, collaboration, and problem-solving.
- Work independently with minimal supervision while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced Agile environment.
Required Skills & Experience
- 610 years of overall experience with at least 5+ years as a Business Analyst.
- Strong experience in the General Insurance domain.
- Expertise across insurance processes such as Policy Administration, Claims, Underwriting, Quote & Buy, and Payments.
- Hands-on experience with Agile methodologies and Scrum delivery models.
- Strong experience creating and managing Epics, User Stories, and Backlogs using Jira and Confluence.
- Experience with BPMN, process modelling, and data modelling techniques.
- Excellent stakeholder management, facilitation, and communication skills.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the Commercial Motor Trade insurance domain.
- Hands-on experience with Guidewire systems.
- Understanding of Data Governance and Data Management concepts.
- Exposure to digital transformation initiatives within insurance organizations.
- Relevant certifications such as CBAP, Agile BA, or Scrum-related certifications are an advantage .
