Job Description
Our Client is currently looking to hire a Director/Head of Investment Banking who would need to originate and execute corporate finance/investment banking assignments in Food & Agri-business and other potential sectors as the core revenue and profit generating product suite.
To detail more, the Candidate's role will be to lead the (i) Equity and Debt syndication in all stages of investment value chain Seed Capital, Angel Investing, Venture Capital, Private Equity (ii) M&A practice, including cross border transactions and (iii) any other corporate finance related product capital restructuring advisory. The incumbent will be a Member of Executive Committee.
Further responsibilities will entail but not be limited to -
Deal Origination for Investment Banking (M&A, Syndication, Debt Restructuring, and IPO Advisory) mandates Deal Execution for Investment Banking (M&A, Syndication, Debt Restructuring, and IPO Advisory) mandates Building an investment banking team suited to the needs of the organization Annual Plan setting Quarterly review Mentoring, Training and Performance Appraisal of Investment Banking team Participation in core organizational strategy discussions
The Successful Applicant
The successful applicant should have:
Completed their MBA from a Tier-1 institute in India (Top IIMs, ISB, XLRI) or is a qualified CA Has 15-20 years of experience in core Front-end Investment Banking with a Tier-1 Investment Bank or Premier Boutique Investment Bank or Investment Banking arm of a Multi-national Bank Brings hands on experience in private equity or venture capital syndication and financial advisory services The candidate shall be willing to travel extensively for the transactions and must necessarily be a go-getter /
self-starter from the point of view execution and should be highly analytical in his approach International M&A Experience, Fund Raising Experience in Asia, MENA, and Europe regions would be beneficial
