01Key Responsibilities
- Define the long-term AI research and innovation strategy and roadmap. Build, lead, and develop multidisciplinary AI research and engineering teams. Drive research in areas such as large language models (LLMs), multimodal AI, agentic AI, natural language processing, and computer vision. Establish governance, operating models, and quality standards for research, engineering, publications, patents, and product development. Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle from research and experimentation through technology transfer and productisation. Develop partnerships with universities, research institutions, industry partners, and technology ecosystems. Ensure responsible AI practices, including privacy, security, explainability, and governance. Represent the AI function in executive, technical, and stakeholder engagements. Required Skills:- Strategic leadership in AI research and technology innovation. Expertise in LLMs, multimodal AI, NLP, computer vision, and agentic AI systems. Experience with MLOps, LLMOps, and enterprise AI deployment. Strong understanding of AI architecture, model optimisation, and scalable AI platforms. Proven ability to lead large technical teams and cross-functional collaboration. Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and decision-making skills. Experience in research commercialisation, patents, and product innovation. Qualifications & Experience:- Master s or PhD in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related field. 12 15+ years of experience in AI research, technology leadership, or R&D management. Demonstrated experience building or scaling AI research centres, innovation labs, or AI Centres of Excellence. Track record of delivering enterprise-grade AI solutions and leading research-to-product initiatives. Publications, patents, or significant contributions to AI research and innovation are advantageous. Preferred Attributes:- Strong scientific and technical leadership.
