Job Description
Engineering Vision & Technical Direction
Define the long-term technical vision and engineering roadmapDrive architecture decisions across platform, backend, mobile and infrastructureEnsure scalability, performance, security, resilience and operational readinessEstablish engineering principles, tooling standards and development practices
Building the Engineering Organisation
Scale a high-performing engineering function capable of supporting rapid growthHire, mentor and develop engineering managers and senior engineersBuild leadership depth and succession within the organisationCreate a culture centred around ownership, accountability, speed and excellence
Founder & Business Partnership
Partner closely with founders on strategic and operational prioritiesConvert business objectives into clear technical execution plansWork cross-functionally with Product, Design, Compliance and OperationsBalance growth demands with long-term platform investment decisions
Engineering Operations
Establish engineering metrics and performance frameworksImprove delivery predictability and execution qualityDrive observability, incident management and reliability practicesBuild scalable systems, processes and operating rhythms
The Successful Applicant
10-12 years of software engineering experience, including leadership within high-growth product companies.Strong hands-on expertise in backend systems, distributed architecture, and scaling products from 01 and beyond.Proven experience building and leading engineering teams while operating in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.Founder mindset with a track record of ownership, resilience, and ideally experience in fintech or other regulated industries.
