Head of Legal

As a Legal Head reporting to the Head of Legal, Compliance, and Risk, you will lead a team of 10 legal experts. Your responsibilities will include: - Supervising the team in contract negotiation, governance, advisory, and litigation - Providing legal advice to distribution and support functions for practical and compliant solutions - Offering advice on Real Estate, Investments, Due diligence, Claims, Labour and employment related matters - Managing and conducting litigation and legal proceedings across all geographies - Participating in discussions related to strategic alliances and structuring contracts - Advising on interpretation of laws including Insurance Laws, Companies Act, Contract Act, etc. - Assisting Finance team in tax-related litigations - Providing legal awareness and trainings on various laws affecting the business - Engaging external legal counsels effectively - Handling matters related to penal legislations, IPR, and trademark issues - Progressing in the digital space and exploring technology-oriented solutions - Overseeing ESG practices and related compliances - Collaborating with Compliance, Risk, and Internal Audit teams - Providing legal support to the pension management subsidiary Qualifications required: - Commercial lawyer with expertise in banking and finance or allied sectors - 17 years of experience - Based in or open to relocating to Gurgaon/Delhi This role offers the opportunity to lead a large team and head the business, providing a challenging and rewarding career path.
