Role Overview
As a Manager in Corporate Development & Strategic Finance at Biological E. Ltd, you will have a crucial role in driving strategic growth initiatives and supporting enterprise-level financial decision-making. Your primary responsibilities will include leading M&A; and investment evaluation initiatives, as well as developing strategic and operational financial models to support key decisions. This role will require direct support to senior leadership at the intersection of strategy, finance, and business development.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead valuation and transaction modelling for M&A;, minority investments, joint ventures, and licensing opportunities using techniques such as DCF, rNPV, comparable analysis, and scenario modelling
- Support due diligence processes by integrating commercial assumptions, manufacturing constraints, and regulatory timeline risks
- Develop comprehensive investment notes and leadership presentations highlighting value drivers, key risks, downside scenarios, and recommended deal structures
- Translate transaction models into long-term business cases supporting pipeline prioritization, pricing strategy, capacity allocation, and market entry decisions
- Develop ROI, IRR, and payback models for capital expenditure, technology transfers, and expansion programs
- Conduct sensitivity analysis and scenario planning, leveraging advanced analytical techniques including Monte Carlo simulations
- Prepare leadership KPI dashboards covering backlog coverage, win rates, margin analysis, cost-to-serve, and capital productivity metrics
- Partner closely with Business Development, Finance, Operations, and Regulatory teams to ensure cross-functional collaboration in proposals, costing structures, budgeting inputs, and regulatory considerations
Qualification Required:
- 68 years of experience in Corporate Development, Investment Banking, or Strategic Finance with ownership of financial modelling
- Advanced Excel modelling expertise to build structured, auditable, and decision-ready financial models
- Strong analytical and presentation skills for executive-level materials
- Practical understanding of biopharmaceutical cost drivers and regulated (GxP) operating environments
- Exposure to CDMO/CMO pricing models and capacity planning frameworks preferred
