About the position
Join the Vancouver Clinic Health Information Management (HIM) team as a HIM Technician! In this role, youll help ensure the accuracy, quality, and accessibility of patient records within our Electronic Health Record (EHR) system. Key responsibilities include scanning and indexing patient documents, performing quality assurance audits, and supporting document imaging workflows. You may also assist with fax processing, scanner maintenance, and other team support tasks as needed. This position is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, tech-savvy, and committed to maintaining the integrity of healthcare data in a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
Scanning and indexing patient documents
Performing quality assurance audits
Supporting document imaging workflows
Assisting with fax processing
Scanner maintenance
Other team support tasks as needed
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent
Computer proficiency and 10-key by touch
Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and ability to work independently and in a team
Ability to work, with or without reasonable accommodation, with a diverse population of patients and colleagues seeking or considering care in all areas
Nice-to-haves
Prior experience in Health Information preferred
