Job Description:
Over all 8 to 10 yrs of experience in IT infra managing storage and backup administration and solutions. Minimum 6 yrs of exp on CommVault and other Backup solutions.
Excellent written and verbal communication
Client facing experience with decent presentation and soft skills.
The Engineer should have hands on experience on
Install, configure, and maintain Commvault backup and recovery software.
Manage and monitor backup jobs, ensuring successful completion and addressing any failures.
Implement and manage data retention policies and schedules.
System Administration:-
Perform routine system checks, maintenance, and updates to ensure optimal performance.
Manage storage resources and integrate Commvault with various storage solutions.
Conduct regular system performance tuning and capacity planning.
Disaster Recovery:-
Develop and test disaster recovery plans.
Ensure data recoverability by performing regular restore tests.
Provide support during disaster recovery situations and planned failover/failback procedures.
Troubleshooting and Support:-
Investigate and resolve issues related to backup and recovery operations.
Provide technical support to internal teams and external clients.
Work closely with vendors to resolve complex issues and implement best practices.
Documentation and Reporting:-
Maintain accurate documentation of backup configurations, processes, and procedures.
Generate and analyze backup and recovery reports, presenting findings to management.
Keep up-to-date with the latest Commvault developments and features.
Desirable : Experience in CommVault backup migrations on large enterprise environment. .
