Role & responsibilitiesLoss MitigationReview delinquent accounts to determine eligibility for loss mitigation options.Analyze borrower financial documents and hardship letters to recommend repayment plans, forbearance, loan modifications, short sales, or deeds-in-lieu.Communicate with borrowers to collect documentation, explain programs, and negotiate solutions.Prepare and submit complete workout packages in accordance with investor, insurer, and regulatory requirements.BankruptcyMonitor accounts in active bankruptcy (Ch. 7, 11, 12, 13) to ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory guidelines.Review and process bankruptcy filings, motions, reaffirmations, proofs of claim, and plan payments.Coordinate with bankruptcy attorneys, trustees, and court officials to ensure timely responses and accurate documentation.Update internal systems with stay statuses, payment changes, dismissals, discharges, and court actions.ForeclosureManage the foreclosure process from referral to sale, ensuring timelines meet investor and regulatory expectations.Collaborate with attorneys, title companies, and internal teams to review documents, ensure accuracy, and resolve title or legal issues.Monitor foreclosure milestones, court dates, publication requirements, and sale schedules.Communicate with borrowers, when permitted, to explore alternatives to foreclosure.
