01Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and RESTful APIs using Node.js. Participate in solution design, technical estimation, and architecture discussions for new features and enhancements. Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code while following coding standards and best practices. Perform code reviews, identify technical risks, and contribute to improving overall code quality. Design and optimize database schemas, queries, and indexes for PostgreSQL and MongoDB. Integrate third-party services, APIs, and internal microservices. Ensure application security, performance, reliability, and scalability by following modern engineering practices. Troubleshoot production issues, participate in incident response, and implement long-term fixes. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including frontend developers, QA engineers, and product managers, to deliver high-quality features. Qualifications: 45+ years of professional experience in backend development using Node.js. Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and experience with frameworks such as Express.js or similar. Strong understanding of asynchronous programming, event-driven architecture, and Node.js internals. Hands-on experience designing and developing RESTful APIs (GraphQL is a plus). Must have experience with PostgreSQL and MongoDB, including schema design, query optimization, indexing, and performance tuning. Good understanding of authentication and authorization mechanisms such as JWT, OAuth2, and role-based access control. Experience writing unit and integration tests using frameworks such as Jest, Mocha, or similar. Strong understanding of Git and modern development workflows. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with microservices, message queues (RabbitMQ, Kafka, etc.), and distributed systems. Working knowledge of Docker, containerized deployments, and CI/CD pipelines. Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP. Knowledge of Golang. Strong understanding of application security, scalability, performance optimization, and backend design patterns.
