Overview
As a member of the Aladdin Client Business team at BlackRock, you will play a crucial role in helping clients onboard the worlds leading end-to-end operating system to manage investment portfolios and transform their business. Your responsibilities will include:
- Owning relationships with client teams, including senior management, to understand their business objectives and needs, and leveraging Aladdin expertise to help them achieve their firm's goals
- Managing the entire investment operations workflow for a project, from pre-planning to configuration, testing, and client training
- Acting as an extension of the client's in-house team to lead projects, coordinate resources across functional areas, and share knowledge on Aladdin models, functionality, workflows, and market best practices
- Collaborating with clients, Aladdin Product Managers, developers, and financial modelers to support client development needs, deploy new models, analytics, and reporting across a range of financial products and investment styles
- Building strong internal relationships within BlackRock Solutions and the wider organization to better support your clients
To excel in this role, you should have:
- 9+ years of work experience in the financial services industry within investment operations or a large investment bank
- Familiarity with operational workflows such as fund order execution, collateral requirements, corporate actions, reconciliations, and provisioining
- Prior engagement with third-party trade execution platforms, market data vendors, and knowledge of equity, fixed income, and derivative markets
- Strong industry knowledge, communication skills, and the ability to simplify complex concepts for clients
- Experience in advising and engaging with clients at scale on workflows
- Ambitious problem-solving skills and the ability to work well in a fast-paced global team environment, while also taking initiative independently
- Travel flexibility for on-site client visits during implementation stages
- Experience with large agile implementations, project lifecycle, and stakeholder management
Preferred skills and experience include prior people management, project management, knowledge of private markets, and proficiency in tools such as SQL, UNIX, VBA, C++, PERL, or Aladdin.
